SLAVERY IN THE KALEIDOS MULTIMEDIA EXHIBIT

The story of Slavery in Naples is one of the main featurs of  Kaleidos, the permanent multimedia exhibit created by Stefano Gargiulo – Kaos Produzioni  at the Museum of the Banco di Napoli Historical Archives.

The Mediterranean and its constructions – the guard towers and the marketplaces  – presided over and acted as playing field and spectator to the cruel game of buying and selling humans, the economics of individuals, and the contraband of freedom from shore to shore, as people were captured and ransomed, were lost and found, under the flags of both Christian and Islamic countries.
