THE PLAGUE IN THE KALEIDOS MULTIMEDIA EXHIBIT

The history of the plague of 1656 in Naples is recounted in Kaleidos, the permanent multimedia exhibit at the Museum of the Historical Archives of the Banco di Napoli by Stefano Gargiulo and Kaos Produzioni.

in 1656, the crowded and chaotic city of Naples faced the terrible spectre of contagion. Slowly, with the growing aggressiveness of the plague obliterating the population, the streets emptied, filling the piazzas with cadavers. Doctors tried to find a cure for what seemed like a divine punishment, without success. For many long months, death was in control of the city.
